Welcome. My name is Louise, although for my tattoo and visual art work, I create under the pen name or hào of Moss. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and spent many childhood summers haunting the bogs and coasts of the Donegal Gaeltacht. At the age of 17, I moved to Cornwall to pursue a degree in illustration, and can’t seem to leave this beautiful county. My mixed heritage and upbringing has offered me perspectives shaped by stark contrasts, and textured by the murkiness between familiarity and otherness.

I joined Mishmash Tattoos in 2022, where I was taken into the mentorship of studio owner Hamish. Working alongside Hamish and Marta has been an intense, challenging, and one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
